The Rehabilitation
Massage Therapy program offers an exciting career in the allied medical and spa-pampering fields. Work in hospitals,
clinics, medical offices, spa settings, clubs, cruise ships, or even open your own lucrative business. Average
rates of pay are between $25.00 and $55.00 per hour (based on Ohio pay scales). The rehabilitation massage therapy degree program is approved by the State Medical Board of
Ohio for licensing as a Licensed Massage Therapist or the graduate can pursue a Massage Practitioner status (non-Medical Board,
no licesning required) and work in relaxation and spa massage fields. The
manual lymphatic therapy/complete decongestive therapy component of the associate degree in rehabilitation massage therapy
meets certification as approved by the State Board of Career Colleges and Schools (non-ABHES). Medical Assistant Diploma The
medical assistant diploma program leads to three potential national certifications including Medical Assistant Certification
(CMA, RMA, NR-CMA), Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT, NR-CPT) and Electrocardiogram Technician Certification (NR-CEKG)
and the graduate can work in medical centers, clinics, hospitals and assorted allied medical careers.The medical assistant diploma program meets requirements to
sit for certification examinations through the National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP), the American Association
of Medical Assistants (AAMA), and the American Medical Technologists Associations (AMT).
Criminology and Criminal Justice Career Fields Forensic Science Criminal Investigation and Administration Associate of Applied Science Degree The forensic science investigation and administration associate degree is recognized on the website of the
American Academy of Forensic Sciences (ACFS) as an undergraduate college program for forensic science education. Graduates
can sit for certification with the American Academy of Forensic Sciences as a Certified Medical Investigator-II. With
five years work experience, a graduate can become a Certified Medical Investigator-III.
The chemical dependency
counseling degree program is approved to sit for the Ohio Chemical Dependency Board licensing as a Chemical Dependency Counselor
(LCDC-II), with appropriate post-graduation counseling work related experience. This license is recognized nationally.
